Terms of Use

These terms cover the site at remrent.com. Today the site is a waitlist: you can leave your e-mail address, and that is all. The part about the paid service describes what will apply once it opens — it is here so you can read it beforehand rather than afterwards.

What RemRent is

RemRent is a search service. We gather rental listings published on Brazil's major portals, fold the same home advertised in several places into a single card, translate it, line the details up the same way for every listing and write our own description of the place. That work is what you are buying — together with the direct link to the listing on the portal that published it.

What RemRent is not

RemRent is not a real-estate agency, is not a broker, and is not a party to any rental contract. We do not represent owners or advertisers, we take no part in negotiations, we do not arrange or attend viewings, we do not draft contracts, and we earn no commission on any deal.

We do not guarantee that a home is still available, that the information in the original listing is accurate, or that the advertiser will reply. The data comes from third-party listings and is reproduced and organised as it was published at the source.

The listings are public

The listings RemRent gathers are public and may be free to read on the portal that published them. What you pay RemRent for is the work of finding, merging, translating and organising them — not the listing itself, which is not ours.

The waitlist

Until the service opens, the only thing this site does is hold your e-mail address so we can tell you about the launch. Leaving it costs nothing, creates no account, triggers no charge and commits you to nothing. To come off the list, write to contact@remrent.com with Privacidade in the subject line. How that address is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy.

What will be paid for at launch

Searching, filtering and reading the cards stays free. Only one thing will be paid for:

• Prepaid packs, bought once, in Brazilian reais. A pack carries a number of contacts, and one contact is the opening of the direct link to a listing on its source portal — never the advertiser's personal details, which RemRent neither shows nor sells.

There is no subscription: no pack renews itself, and nothing is charged again without a new purchase from you. Saving searches and receiving them as a digest by e-mail, daily or weekly, is free. Buying a pack also means being told the moment a home turns up, for as long as that pack lasts — the alert comes with the pack, carries no price of its own and is not sold separately.

Before you pay, the purchase screen states the price, how many contacts the pack carries and how long it lasts. Nothing is offered as "unlimited": every limit is given as a number. A contact you have already opened stays available in your account and is never charged for twice.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy covers purchases of the paid features, which begin at launch.

Right of withdrawal — 7 days

You may withdraw from a purchase within 7 calendar days of making it, without having to give a reason. This is the right granted by article 49 of Brazil's Consumer Protection Code, and it applies to every purchase made here. We ask for no justification and put no questions to you.

How to ask

The request will be made the same way the purchase was: from your account, with no e-mail to write and no call to make. Confirmation that we have received it is immediate.

How much comes back

• No contacts used: the full amount is returned, adjusted as Brazilian law requires (correção monetária).
• Some contacts used: we return the share matching the contacts left over. The ones already used correspond to a service actually delivered — the information has been handed over and cannot be taken back.

We withhold no fee of any kind — neither an administrative one nor the payment provider's.

Timings

Within the 7 days the refund is immediate: there is no review, no queue and no condition. We notify the payment provider straight away; how long the amount then takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card scheme, not on RemRent.

There is no subscription to cancel

Every pack is a one-off purchase: there is no monthly plan, no auto-renewal and no minimum term. Between one purchase and the next there is nothing to cancel — buy nothing more and nothing more is charged.

Content and other people's rights

The descriptions shown on RemRent are written by RemRent from the source listings and do not reproduce the original text; the original stays reachable on the portal, through the link we hand over. The photographs form part of listings published by third parties, and the rights in them belong to their authors and owners.

Anyone holding a right over a listing or a photograph can write to contact@remrent.com: we act on takedown requests without requiring a court order.

Using the site

Automated extraction, systematic copying and reproduction of the content RemRent produces — our own descriptions, the features we read from the photos, the grouping of one home's repeated listings, and the price history — are not allowed. The original listing is not covered by that restriction: it is public at the source and stays that way.

Personal data

How personal data is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy. Your rights as a data subject (LGPD, art. 18) are exercised through contact@remrent.com, with Privacidade in the subject line, at no cost and with an answer within 15 days.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights Brazil's Consumer Protection Code gives you. These terms contain no mandatory arbitration clause and no choice-of-venue clause: you may bring a claim before the court where you live (CDC, art. 101, I) or to the consumer protection bodies, such as Procon and consumidor.gov.br.

Changes to these terms

The date of the last revision is at the top of this page. We keep the earlier versions; if you need a copy, ask at the address above. A change that reduces the rights of someone who has already bought does not apply to that purchase.
