How we merge listings and what the photos confirm

The same home is often advertised on several portals, sometimes by different agents. We compare the photos of the ads, not the title or the text. Two ads whose photos show the same rooms are joined into one card.

The card keeps a link to every ad it was built from. A photo repeated within one card is shown once.

A vision model looks at the photos and records what is visible: furniture and kitchen appliances, the condition of the finishes, the flooring, the view.

Whether a home counts as furnished follows a fixed rule: a bed or a sofa, a fridge and a stove, and somewhere to sit, eat or work. Only what a photo can show is recorded.

Bedroom and bathroom counts, floor area, price and contract terms come from the ad, never from the photos.

Some terms come only from the ad text: no guarantor needed, pets allowed, what the price includes, covered parking. We show them as the advertiser's claims. We do not check them.

The summary on a card is RemRent's own text, written from what the photos show and what the ad says. It is not the original text. The original is behind the portal link.

Each card's summary is written separately in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian, from the same facts.

The site's own texts and the articles are written from scratch in each language, not translated word for word, and go through two independent reviews per language.

We keep going back to the portals. When an ad is gone from its portal, the card loses that source.

When the last source is gone, the card leaves the search and its page says the listing is no longer available.

We do not visit the homes, and we do not check the advertiser, the price or the availability. The price on a card is the one advertised at the source.

The same ads are free on the portals. What we charge for is the direct link and the work described on this page.
